Lindsey Buckingman at Calvin Theatre. The Fleetwood Mac guitarist played a Top 10 show at The Egg last year. Imagine this singer-songwriter of arena-scale talent rocking a 200-seat venue. June 2.
Bootsy Collins at Alive at Five. A very wild card, really. The hyper-funky bassist put the groove under the bands of James Brown and George Clinton. But who knows what he’ll do on his own? June 14.
Alejandro Escovedo at The Egg. He’s led his current band, the Sensitive Boys, longer than any of his (many) previous crews; and his recent albums and live shows show him at the top of his very impressive game. June 15.
Aerosmith and Cheap Trick at the Times Union Center. Two of the biggest bands of the 1970s, who can still rock arenas, team up to rock ours. Aerosmith is more powerful, and Cheap Trick more poppy; both are big fun. June 29.
John Prine and Lucinda Williams at the Palace Theatre. Two genius-level singer-songwriters, one highly consistent (Prine) and the other mercurial (Williams). They rarely play here. Aug. 17.
