Section II girls’ lacrosse champions will be determined today in a triple-header at the University at Albany.

Guilderland (No. 1 seed, 18-0) and Shaker (No. 2, 15-1) will conclude the three-game card at 7:30 in the Class A final. Queensbury (No. 1, 15-1) and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (No. 2, 10-7) meet for Class B honors to start things at 3:30, and Albany Academy (No. 1, 11-2) goes againt Glens Falls (No. 2, 17-1) in the Class C tilt at 5:30.

Guilderland will be making its sixth consecutive title-game appearance, and will be seeking its fifth flag, with its wins in 2007, 2008 and 2010 coming against Shaker. The Lady Dutch beat the Blue

Bison, 12-6, in this season’s only meeting between the Suburban Council division winners.

Burnt Hills won its first sectional title last year at Queensbury’s expense, 12-11, with a come-from-behind effort. Queensbury also lost in the 2010 final to Niskayuna.

Albany Academy claimed the last four Class C titles, and last three by beating Glens Falls.

The Bears’ 15-9 win over the Indians last year made them the most successful team in the history of the girls’ sectionals with nine championships.

Glens Falls has won 17 consec-utive games since a season-opening loss to Queensbury.

The Section II champions will meet today’s Section I-IX winners in regional finals Saturday at UAlbany at 4 (Class C), 6 (Class A) and 8 p.m. (Class B).

The Section II boys champions will see regional semifinal action today against Section IX opponents at Shenendehowa. Glens Falls (13-6) will play Red Hook (13-4) in Class C at 3:30, Niskayuna (18-1) will meet Minisink Valley (18-1) in Class A at 5:30, and Queensbury (14-2) will test Wallkill (10-5) in Class B at 8. Those winners go to Clarkstown South Saturday for regional finals against today’s Section I champions.

Niskayuna beat Shenendehowa, 17-11, and Glens Falls defeated Scotia-Glenville, 8-5, Saturday. On Friday, Queensbury downed Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 13-10. Niskayuna will be making its 11th regional appearance, and Glens Falls its 10th.
