Niskayuna CPA Ferrucci leads chapter
NISKAYUNA -- Certified Public Accountant Frank Ferrucci, of Niskayuna has been installed as president of the Northeast Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
Ferrucci is a manager at Wojeski & Company CPAs P.C. in East Greenbush.
Ferrucci joined the NYSSCPA in 2009 and has served as president-elect, vice president and treasurer of its Northeast Chapter.
He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He graduated with a bachelor's degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse.
Garden group reaps community award
ALBANY -- The Albany Roundtable has presented Capital District Community Gardens with The Good Patroon award.
The award was created in 1988 to recognize outstanding contributions to the community . It was presented to CDCG to honor the organization's 37-year effort to improve neighborhoods through community gardening and urban greening projects and to increase healthy food access throughout the region.
"Capital District Community Gardens understands, better than most, the value of getting one's hands dirty," Albany Roundtable President Colleen M. Ryan said. "Their commitment to engaging the community in gardening and urban greening contributes enormously to the quality of life and sustainability of our cities."
Capital District Community Gardens is a nonprofit organization that strives for healthy communities throughout the Capital Region with nearly 50 community gardens, the Veggie Mobile, the Healthy Convenience Store Initiative, the Produce Project, Squash Hunger and more.
Product design firm is launched
BALLSTON LAKE -- Engineer Eric Fasser recently announced the creation of Fasser Design, a product-development firm based in southern Saratoga County.
Fasser Design has three core capabilities: design, engineering and marketing of consumer and industrial goods in a variety of industries.

Realty USA names associate broker
LOUDONVILLE -- Realty USA announced that Martha Chamberlin has joined the Empire/Loudonville office as a licensed associate broker and top producer. She previously was with Coldwell Banker Prime Properties.
Baker firm adds video specialist
ALBANY -- Baker Public Relations, a full-service public relations and marketing agency, announced the addition of Steve Felano to its team as assistant account executive and video specialist.
Felano will develop and produce online video, as well as assist in the development and implementation of public relations and marketing campaigns for Baker PR clients.
Felano most recently served as assistant news director at WAMC Northeast Public Radio in Albany.
