Mekeel Christian Academy came back from a 1-0 halftime deficit to beat Berne-Knox-Westerlo, 3-1, in Western Athletic Conference boys’ soccer on Monday.

Tai Aderounmu scored all three goals for Mekeel (7-0-0 WAC), the first assisted by TK Majekodunmi in the 45th minute.

MCA outshot the Bulldogs, 25-4.

Jordan Ryder scored three goals, and Dylan Toscano had three assists as Mayfield shut out Middleburgh, 4-0.

Josh Ivancic had a goal and an assist for Mayfield, and Chilli Hennessy and Luke VanNostrand combined on the shutout in goal.

Galway used an own goal and a score by Josh Bailey, assisted by Andrew Izzo, to defeat Duanesburg, 2-1, and keep pace with Mekeel in the Northern Division.

Duanesburg’s score came on an own goal.

Northville shut out Schoharie, 3-0, as Kalob Russell had a goal and two assists.

He assisted on goals by Nate Edwards and Tyler Henderson in the first half, then scored at 1:00 of the second half on an assist by Skyler Bruce.

Tim Monette made two saves for Northville (4-3-1, 5-3-1). Schoharie fell to 4-4-1.

Schenectady (3-1-3) defeated Catholic Central, 2-0, in the Big 10, as Giovanni Rossi and Johon Rojas scored and Andrew Cyr made two saves.

Eric Connelly made 13 saves for the Crusaders (0-7).

Ichabod Crane rolled past Fonda-Fultonville, 8-0, in a non-league game.

Seth Scarano scored two goals for the Riders, who outshot Fonda, 29-0.


Florie Comley made five saves as Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake shut out Averill Park, 3-0.

Skye Kaler had a goal and an assist for the Spartans, Morgan Burchhardt and Meghan Malone each scored a goal and Jenna Retell had an assist.

Kelly Donnelly made 14 saves for Averill Park.

Mohonasen scored three goals in the second half to beat Ballston Spa, 3-2.

Samantha McGrath scored two goals for Mohonasen, Serena Cascarano scored a goal, Megan Reese and Gabrielle Esposito each had an assist and Saeeda Abdul-Aziz made three saves.

Yanique VanNess and Demi Feder scored for Ballston Spa.

Gracie Maley had two goals and two assists, and Sophie Constantino scored two goals as Scotia-Glenville rolled past Johnstown, 6-0, in the Foothills Council.

Max Culhane had a goal and two assists, and Maddy Carroll scored a goal for the Tartans, who improved to 7-1 in the Foothills and 8-1 overall.

Katie Herba and Tori Marotta each scored three goals as Broadalbin-Perth topped Glens Falls, 6-3.

Rachel Orapello made three saves for Broadalbin-Perth (6-3).

Miranda Haraughty had two goals and an assist for Glens Falls (2-7), and Amanda Kanofsky scored a goal.

Amanda Roney scored five goals to up her season total to 21 as Middleburgh rolled past Mayfield, 6-0, in the Western Athletic Conference.

Aleesha LeRuzic also scored a goal for Middleburgh (7-3), Kendra Wood had two assists and Megan Hagadorn made three saves.

Galway downed Duanesburg, 3-1, and is 7-1 in the WAC and 8-2 overall.

Abby Spagnola tied it at 1-1 for Galway on assists by Maddy Moore and Kelly Phillips, Ashley Fredericks made it 2-1 on an assist from Erica Chase, and Chase scored in the second half.

Andrea Barton scored for Duanesburg.

Kaitlyn Kendle and Seanna Cleveland each scored two goals as Schoharie downed Northville (3-3-1, 3-4-2), 7-0.

Grace Caza, Monica Rivette and Hannah Bowersox also scored.

Mekeel Christian Academy and Berne-Knox-Westerlo tied, 3-3.

Macie Holmes, Nicole Pigliavento and Nicole Berritero each scored for Mekeel, and Makayla McCormic scored all three goals for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Nicole Kitajewski scored two goals in the first half to give Emma Willard a 2-1 win over Waterford-Halfmoon in the Central Hudson Valley League.

Meaghan Sausville made nine saves for Emma Willard, which improved to 7-0 in the CHVL and 7-2 overall.

Abby Fountain scored on an assist by Ashley Lefebvre for Waterford (4-3, 4-5), and Courtney Gardner made 16 saves.

Loudonville Christian School blanked Doane Stuart, 5-0, as Fiona Fittro and Anne Arcodia each scored two goals, Jaela Milford scored one and Elena Meyer had two assists.

Mariela Jacome and Jessie Mink each scored three goals as Ichabod Crane defeated Fonda-Fultonville, 11-2, in a non-league game.


Saratoga Catholic defeated Schoharie, 25-13, 15-25, 25-16, 25-17, to improve to 6-1 in the Western Athletic Conference and 7-2 overall.

Meghan McDonough had eight assists and six service points for the Saints, Meghan Mensler had 14 points, three aces and nine digs, Natalie Pikus had 10 kills, six blocks and three aces and Erin Thornton had 15 points, three aces and seven digs.

Sierra Diamond led Schoharie with 12 points, one ace and seven assists, and Ally Blyth had seven kills and 11 points.

Mayfield swept Mekeel Christian Academy, 25-13, 25-16, 25-16, to move to 6-2 in the WAC and 8-2 overall.

Miranda Eagan had an ace, five kills and three assists for Mayfield, Kiera Davis had eight points and two kills and Kaylee Bumpus had six points and two kills.

Jacqueline Cummings had 12 points and one block for Mekeel (1-8, 1-9).

Fort Plain got past Middleburgh, 25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21.

Emily Potter had 14 service points and seven kills for the Lady Hilltoppers (1-5, 2-5), Cheyanne Walters had 19 service points and Shawna Colton had 20 assists and five aces.

Shania Marotta had 10 kills for Middleburgh, and Shyla Hinkley had six blocks.

Waterford-Halfmoon defeated Emma Willard, 25-8, 25-13, 23-25, 25-10, in the Central Hudson Valley League.

Michaela Miller had 15 service points, seven aces and seven kills for the Fordians (5-1, 8-1), Erin Formosa had 15 service points, three aces and four kills and Alex Le­fevbre had nine points, six kills and six aces.

Emma Willard fell to 2-4 in the CHVL and 3-6 overall.

Gloversville defeated Amsterdam, 25-8, 25-7, 22-17, in a non-league match. The final set was stopped due to injury.

Christina Pavlovsky had 10 assists for Gloversville, Jenna Putnam had seven aces, Alex Bieli had three kills and Katlyn Pierce had three blocks.

Columbia defeated Ichabod Crane, 25-10, 25-7, 25-20, as Lindsey Champitto had four kills and four aces, and Mackenzie Hawsey had six digs and four aces for the Blue Devils.
