The local media will be getting a sneak peak and preview of the first exhibition from the San Francisco-based Exploratorium Museum at miSci (the former Schenectady Museum) this afternoon.

The first exhibit – "Seeing" – will open to the public on Saturday and run through June 2, 2013.

"Seeing" explores and explains visual perception, the notion of objectivity and provides insight as to how the eye and brain function together.

The exhibition is the first step in the transformation of the former Schenectady Museum into miSci – a regional science and innovation museum with world-class exhibits and learning opportunities for the region.

MiSci15 is located at Nott Terrace Heights in Schenectady.
