Glenville police have arrested three suspects in an alleged assault on a 19-year-old man in July.
The incident occurred about 1 p.m. July 8 as the suspects and alleged victim were at a gathering in a wooded area behind the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District administration building at 50 Cypress Drive. The victim was surrounded by the suspects and struck in the face with an empty vodka bottle, knocking him unconscious. He was then struck in the face with a wooden board, police said. The suspects then stole the victim’s backpack and went through his pockets, according to police.
The victim sustained a fractured jaw and cuts that required 25 stitches and lost several teeth.
Robert M. Nichols, 20, of Saratoga Springs, Brody J. Gifford, 20, of Glenville and Tony Deloatch, 20, of Saratoga Springs, were each charged with gang assault, first-degree robbery and unlawful imprisonment, all felonies. All three were arraigned in Glenville Town Court, with Nichols sent to the Schenectady County jail without bail and Gifford and Deloatch sent to jail on $50,000 cash bail apiece.
