A Sharon man faces a felony marijuana count, accused of possessing 28 pounds of marijuana in four garbage bags on his property, state police said today.
Dominick Traino Jr., 53, was arrested Saturday on one count of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.
State police began investigating after receiving information that Traino had a large amount of marijuana. On Saturday, they interviewed Traino and searched his property. They soon found the four large garbage bags of marijuana, state police said. In all, the marijuana weighed 28 pounds.
Traino was processed and released to return to court later. He also faces one count each of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and unlawful growing of cannabis.
