Two men stabbed in Schenectady bar brawl involving upwards of 100 people

Schenectady police are investigating a large fight that took place about 3:25 a.m. today at Club XI

Schenectady police are investigating a large fight that took place about 3:25 a.m. today at Club XI at 11 N. Broadway.

Two males are currently recovering from stab wounds. Officers responded to 911 calls that there was a large fight at that location, involving as many as 100 people.

Upon investigation, officers learned that there was a potential victim of a stabbing inside the bar. Officers where able to locate the victim, 33-year-old Quentin S. Blunt of Schenectady. Blunt had been stabbed once in the back and was transported to Albany Med for treatment for his injuries, which where not considered life threatening.

Due to the size of the fight, mutual aid was called for and members from several agencies responded to assist with dispersing the crowd. A total of five arrests where made in connection with the fight; four for disorderly conduct and one for obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. None of those arrested where directly connected with the stabbing.

Officers where later alerted that a second victim was stabbed in the leg. The victim, Jamel Carroll, 33, of the Bronx, was treated at Ellis Hospital. His wounds where also not considered life threatening.

No arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing. There is no description of the individual(s) suspected in the stabbings. The cause of the fight is under investigation.
