Maddy Kenyon scored 11 points in the fourth quarter as Duanesburg rallied for a 45-40 win over Mekeel Christian Academy Wednesday night in a Western Athletic Conference girls’ basketball game.

Kenyon finished with 18 points, and Steph Rice notched 16 to help the Eagles (1-1, 3-1) pick up their first Southern Division win.

Duanesburg outscored Mekeel (0-2, 2-4) in the final quarter, 17-9. Lindsay McCarty paced the Lions with 12 points, Macie Holmes netted 11, and Lexie Holmes added 10.

Abby Boyer went 12-for-17 from the foul line and totaled 24 points in leading Fort Plain to a 40-29 WAC win at Northville. Lyndsey Wadsworth topped the Falcons with 12 points.

Amanda Gould scored 12 points, Tegan Matthews had nine, and Galway held off Canajoharie in the second half to record a 47-38 WAC victory. Jenelle Dillenbeck sparked the Cougars with 16.

Middleburgh (2-0, 2-1) used a 19-7 spurt in the third quarter to move ahead, and put Schoharie away with a 16-9 run in the fourth frame in a 47-35 triumph.

Taylor Cater scored 13 points for the Knights, and Amanda Roney clicked for 12. Hannah Bowersox led the Indians with 14 points, and Emily Gage had 10.

Hudson Falls came back from a four-point halftime deficit to beat Johnstown, 42-38, in a Foothills Council matchup.

Nicole Sheloski scored 14 points for the Tigers. Courtney Cirillo and Kelsi Barnholt scored 10 points apiece for the Lady Bills.

Kayla Hotaling delivered 17 points, Hope Rebeor scored 13, and Jarmine Powell had 10 as Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (3-1, 3-1) logged a 54-37 Colonial Council win over Cobleskill-Richmondville. Danielle Keyer and Morgan Loder scored 11 and 10, respectively, for the Bulldogs (2-2, 3-3).

BOYS

Shane Lyon scored 20 points, and Ryan Buell netted nine of his 11 in the last quarter as Schuylerville (4-0, 5-1) pulled away for a 54-34 Wasaren League win at Hoosic Valley.

John Rooney led Hoosic Valley (3-1, 6-1) with 18 points.

Andrew Hoag scored 15 points, Evan Phillips had 14, and Hoosick Falls (3-1, 3-2) doubled Cambridge’s first-half output in a 52-36 Wasaren League win.

Shaeden Mosso scored 13 points for the Indians.

Lawrence gets 100th

Connor Lawrence picked up his 100th win with a pin in 16 seconds to lift Duanesburg over Schenectady, 45-27, in a non-league match.

Dan Powers, Nick Cornaire and Jeff Senecal also posted pins in the win, while Schenectady got pins from Mike Fuller and Antonio Zamura.

Cory Ali, Jordan Maynard, Dave Almaviva, Zak Joseph and Chris Nacarrato pinned their opponents as Shenendehowa stopped Saratoga Springs, 43-33, in the Suburban Council.

Niskayuna edged Ballston Spa, 36-34, despite Scotties’ victories in the two highest weight categories.

Brian Knoddler, Eliajah Clem-ente, Colton White and Josh LoGiudice pinned their opponents in Guilderland’s 54-11 victory over Bethlehem.
