RED HOOK -- A Schenectady man was arrested late Saturday after allegedly assaulting two state troopers at a house party.

Residents of 233 Whalesback Road in Red Hook called police at approximately 11:15 p.m. when a fight broke out at a party they were hosting. By the time two troopers had arrived, the partygoers had scattered.

In the middle of interviewing the hosts, the troopers were charged by Noah Thibodeaux, 19, of Schenectady.

Thibodeaux apparently re-entered the house after leaving the party. He was subdued and charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest.

One trooper was injured in the struggle and treated at Northern Dutchess Hospital.
