The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a dense fog advisory for the entire Capital Region from 10 p.m. today to 8 a.m. Sunday.
Meteorologists said widespread dense fog could reduce visibility to less than a quarter-mile, causing difficult travel. They recommend drivers slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of distance between vehicles.
Otherwise, tonight is expected to be mostly cloudy with lows only dipping into the mid- to upper 30s.
Sunday will continue to be unseasonably warm, but cloudy, with a chance of showers and dense fog in the morning. High temperatures Sunday will be around 50.
Showers will return overnight Sunday into Monday, with nighttime lows near 40.
Monday will be the last of the unseasonably warm days, with showers early but skies becoming partly sunny in the afternoon. Highs on Monday will be in the mid- to upper 40s, but will begin dropping as skies clear.
