Daquan Stewart, 18, was with a group of men who stole a wallet containing money, a debit card and driver’s license from the victim on June 12 of last year in the area of Ridgefield Street. Stewart repeatedly punched the victim in the head and body before pushing the victim to the ground and fleeing, according to a press release from the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

Stewart pleaded guilty before Albany County Court Judge Stephen Herrick to one count of second-degree attempted robbery, a Class D felony. He also faces three years of post-release supervision following his jail term when sentenced on Feb. 11.
