A Schoharie County soldier is facing a felony charge following an investigation into the theft of guns two years ago.
Luke T. Aulita, 21, of Wright, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, according to a release from State Police.
It was unclear how many firearms were stolen during a burglary two years ago or what type of guns were taken. The state police Troop-G spokesman did not immediately return a call Thursday.
Police said a two-year investigation led to Aulita, who is serving in the U.S. Army and stationed in the state of Washington.
Aulita returned voluntarily and was arraigned in Schoharie Town Court before being sent to jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
