Transfinder, the city-based transportation management company, posted double-digit revenue growth during 2012, according to a news release.

The company added 143 new clients and 65 jobs and expanded its services to secure a 20 percent growth in revenue last year. Transfinder revenues increased from $6.50 million in 2011 to $7.85 million in 2012, according to figures released by the company Monday.

Now in its 25th year, Transfinder is also nearing completion on its new $7 million corporate headquarters on State Street. The company is expected to move from its location on Erie Boulevard to the new building this spring.

“Our growth this year demonstrates that we are meeting the needs of school districts that are trying to find ways to increase transportation efficiencies, keep their students safe, and reduce costs,” said Antonio Civitella, Transfinder’s president and chief executive officer, in a news release.

Civitella recapped the highlights of 2012 at the annual company meeting Monday. These highlights also included being named by INC 5000 as one of the fastest growing private sector companies for the seventh consecutive year, expanding client services staff to support a growing client base; and successfully launching a new mobile application for the iPad.

Founded in Schenectady in 1988, Transfinder offers student transportation management systems and services hundreds of school districts. The company’s products allow school districts to manage bus routes, provide safe and efficient student transportation, and access a wealth of critical district information.
