Residents in Amsterdam’s 4th Ward are invited to learn more about grants of up to $25,000 being made available for home improvements.
The city recently received a $400,000 grant from the federal Community Development Block Grant program being directed toward the neighborhood encircled by Reid, Church, James and Hibbard streets.
Owner-occupied homes are eligible for up to $25,000 and rental units can receive up to $12,500 with a 50 percent match by the owner.
