This year’s Capital Region Premier Bridal Show Extravaganza will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 27 in the Hall of Springs and the Gideon Putnam Resort, both in the Saratoga Spa State Park.
The annual bridal show, presented by Gazette Newspapers, has grown over the years with more than 100 exhibitors planning to attend Sunday’s show, which includes two venues with free shuttle bus service between them.
“At our show you will have the opportunity to meet distinguished wedding experts from the entire Capital Region and get new ideas that will help you make your day spectacular,” said CJ Dufort, the Gazette’s events coordinator.

“Come and get inspired as you plan your special day,” Dufort said.
In attendance will be experts on jewelry, limousine service, linens, photography and videography, favors and specialty items, travel, wedding coordinators, bands and ceremonial music, banquets and receptions, bridal registries, cakes, rentals, florists, gowns and tuxedos, and invitations.
Admission is $5 and entitles a person to visit both The Hall of Springs and the Gideon Putnam Resort. Parking is free. The Saratoga Spa State Park can be reached by taking Route 9 or Route 50 and turning onto Avenue of the Pines.
Brides can register at the door and become eligible for a variety of giveaways.
Each registered bride receives a buy-one, get-one free wedding band certificate and chances to win a diamond circle of love pendant from Sondra’s Fine Jewelry of Schenectady valued at more than $1,500, a pair of diamond stud earrings from Northeastern Fine Jewelry valued at $500 each, $1,000 in gift certificates, and a 51-inch Samsung television from the Gazette.
More than 25 restaurants from throughout the greater Capital Region will be represented at the show, many offering free samples to those attending.
The restaurants offer a wide variety of foods as well as a wide range of prices.
Dufort said a couple may have become engaged over the Christmas holidays and are just starting to plan their wedding. The show is the perfect event for them.
The Gazette’s Bridal Gallery of Gowns will be in the Gideon Putnam Resort, the historic and elegant hotel in the Spa State Park. Angela’s Bridal of Albany and Something Bleu Bridal of Saratoga Springs will have gown experts on hand to answer questions.
“The nice part about the gallery of gowns is that people can ask questions, one-on-one with a consultant from each of the stores,” Dufort said.
Wedding coordinators will be at the show offering services that include planning the entire wedding to coordinating just the day of the wedding.
Proceeds from the annual bridal show benefit the Gazette’s Newspapers In Education Program, which provides free newspapers to schools in the Gazette’s coverage area so that local current events can be incorporated into classroom lesson plans.
