All vehicle plates should comply with NYS laws

Driving around Rotterdam lately, I have seen two different cars that have “blue line” plates on the front of the vehicles, with no New York state plates. They are from New York, as the rear plate was from New York.

For people who do not know, these “blue line” plates (black background with blue line through the center horizontally), and sometimes similar stickers on vehicles, means the owner of the car is a policeman or affiliated with one.

In the state of New York, you must have a front license plate. I am wondering (and I mean no disrespect), why don’t these drivers get tickets for not having a front plate? I know cops get certain “perks” from other cops, but when a plate reader/ranger on a patrol car scans these plates, why are the cars not pulled over and the driver ticketed?

I have to have a front plate. There should be no preferential treatment to some.

Time to make the punishment fit the crime

Why are they letting people who kill other people off so easy. I think they should get life; after all, they took someone else’s life. What about the families of the victims? They have to go through the rest of their life without that love one.

Taking the licenses away from people isn’t going to stop them from driving. They have to take away their automobile also. There are a lot of people out there driving with a suspended license. If a friend let’s them use their car, too bad, take that car also.

People killing innocent children should get life also. No plea bargaining. After all, the victims don’t get a chance to plea. I’m tired of reading about innocent children getting killed.
