Police are searching for a handgun witnesses say a Gloversville man fired in the direction of his father and 11-year-old brother on Saturday night.
Gloversville Police charged Lovell Armstrong, 22, of 33 Clyde St., with first-degree menacing and first-decree reckless endangerment, both felonies, according to a release.
Witnesses in the area heard gunfire and called police to the residence of Armstrong's father at 28 Grand St. Armstrong left the scene in a white BMW with an unidentified female before Johnstown Police pulled them over, according to the release.
After interviews, police allege Armstrong went to his father's residence to confront him before displaying a handgun and firing a shot in the direction of his father and young brother.
Police did not find any bullet holes or a bullet casing and believe the handgun may be a revolver which doesn't automatically eject spent casings.
Armstrong was arraigned in by City Court Judge Traci DiMezza and sent to the Fulton County Jail without bail.
An investigation continues and Gloversville Det. Sgt. Mike Jory said people with any information can contact the police department at 773-4569.
