Packets of heroin, several ounces of cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash were seized in a drug bust today that broke up an alleged distribution ring in Saratoga County, according to police.
The Saratoga Springs Police Department’s Special Investigations Narcotics Unit arrested Felix “Lucky” Moran, 34, and Kaleef “Leaf” Krigger, 27, both of Glens Falls, on a county arrest warrant in Glens Falls. Police said the arrests were the result of the city’s collaboration with the Capital District DEA Task Force, which had been investigating an alleged cocaine and heroin drug ring in Saratoga Springs and Saratoga County.
Authorities alleged that Moran and Krigger were moving multiple ounces of cocaine and a large amount of heroin every few days in Saratoga Springs. It is believed that they were involved in up to $10,000 a week in drug sales.
The men were witnessed entering a residence on Kenworthy Avenue in Glens Falls by Saratoga Springs police officers, state troopers and members of the DEA task force, Warren County Sheriff’s Department and Glens Falls Police Department about 4:30 p.m. today, authorities said. Police said they then executed the arrest warrants, at which point they found cocaine, heroin and money.
Charges against Moran and Krigger include third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, as well as misdemeanor offenses. They were sent to the Saratoga County jail pending arraignment next week.
Moran has a prior felony conviction for selling drugs, police said.
The investigation is continuing, according to authorities.
