The state’s new gun law will be the focus of information sessions to be hosted next week by Assemblyman Marc W. Butler, R-Newport.
Butler will join New York State Rifle and Pistol Association President Tom King, a member of the National Rifle Association, during sessions in both Fulton and Herkimer counties.
In addition to providing information on the new NY-SAFE Act, Butler will be seeking feedback from residents and calling for support to repeal the new gun control law because of Second Amendment concerns and the threat to economic stability in the Mohawk Valley.
The first information session will be held in Fulton County starting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Pine Tree Rifle Club, 419 Johnson Ave. Ext., Gloversville.
The second session, in Herkimer County, will start at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Salisbury Ridgerunners Club, 717 Curtis Road, Salisbury.
