A 56-year-old Saratoga County man was killed this afternoon when a tree he was cutting fell on him on property off Devils Lane in the town of Ballston, authorities said.

The victim was identified by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office as Larry Sisler, who lives on the property at 511 Devils Lane.

Saratoga County Coroner John DeMartino said Sisler was cutting down a tree on his property about 1 p.m. when one tree got caught in another. The wind dislodged the cut tree and it fell on Sisler, DeMartino said.

“It was an accidental death,” DeMartino said.

Devil’s Lane runs between Middle Line and Hop City roads.

The incident was investigated by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. Police were assisted at the scene by Ballston Lake Emergency Medical Services.
