A 41-year-old town resident was arrested Monday after allegedly selling crack in the parking lot of the Stewart’s Shop at 1403 Route 9.

James H. White of Fairfax Lane in Halfmoon was arrested by the narcotics unit of Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office as part of an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs in Halfmoon.

White was taken into custody without incident after a traffic stop Monday on Church Hill Road in Halfmoon, police said. After he was arrested on charges of third-degree criminal sale and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said he was found to have hidden a small amount of crack cocaine within a body cavity.

He was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court and taken to Saratoga County Jail for lack of $25,000 bail or $50,000 bail bond.
