State police divers were in the Hudson River near Waterford today searching for the body of a 24-year-old village woman missing since Feb. 18.
Anna Kroup left behind a note but Waterford police would not discuss its details. Sgt. Michael Schudt said Friday that state police divers equipped with sonar technology were also searching the Hudson River near Waterford last week.
“There is nothing new,” Schudt said.
He said Waterford police and state police will discuss the case Monday to determine if more diving will be done. Schudt said police are disclosing that the woman left a note because they do not want to give the impression that she was abducted. Foul play is not suspected, he said.
