Two Saratoga Springs men face felony criminal mischief charges after being accused of damaging sport

Two Saratoga Springs men face felony criminal mischief charges after being accused of damaging sports fields at the Maple Avenue Middle School by driving a truck on them, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Department said.

Michael McConaha, 21, and Sean T. Fadgen, 22, both of 555 Route 9, were each arrested Sunday on charges of third-degree criminal mischief, deputies said.

Deputies said they received a complaint Sunday that five athletic fields at the school were damaged by having a vehicle driven on them overnight.

Based an an investigation, deputies said the men are accused of driving a pickup truck onto the field. There is no estimate yet of the amount of damage caused, deputies said.

The men will appear later in Greenfield town court.
