Woman charged after fiery Saratoga Springs crash

Police say a Clifton Park woman was drunk when she crashed her car at the intersection of South Broa

Police say a Clifton Park woman was drunk when she crashed her car at the intersection of South Broadway and West Fenlon Street in Saratoga Springs early this morning, causing the car to burst into flames.

Officers responded to the one-car accident at 4:30 a.m., and observed a black Acura in flames with the driver standing nearby, police said. The woman, Megan Marie Forbes, 35, of Ebony Oaks, wasn’t injured, police said, but she appeared to be highly intoxicated.

Forbes was charged with driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 percent, as well as improper lane use and unreasonable speed. She was processed at the Saratoga Springs Police Department and help pending arraignment in City Court.
