The January death of a Niskayuna attorney remains unclassified as police await subpoenaed medical records and communications information, Niskayuna Police Chief John Lubrant said Monday.
Lubrant declined to elaborate on what information is being sought.
Police have previously said they were also awaiting full autopsy results before classifying the death. Niskayuna police are investigating in conjunction with state police.
The body of Michael Wallender was found by police Jan. 26 in a wooded area near the intersection of River and Rosendale roads.
He lived about a quarter-mile away and had been reported missing the day before his body was found.
Wallender, 62, was a lifelong resident of Niskayuna and worked as an attorney with the Couch White firm in Albany.
