A pregnant woman was airlifted to the hospital Saturday morning after the vehicle she was a passenger in struck a tree.

A vehicle being driven by Jordan Greene, 19, of Saratoga Springs, was the lone car on Grange Hall Road when it left the road and crashed into a tree, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office.

Gabrielle T. Leroy, 20, of Schuylerville, who is seven months pregnant, was flown to Albany Medical Center with a spinal injury. Greene was taken to Saratoga Hospital by ambulance.

An investigation concluded the vehicle was speeding, and Greene was ticketed for unsafe speed and failure to keep right, deputies said.

No information about the condition of either passengers was available Saturday night.
