Godfrey sparks Spartans, 14-9

Jordyn Godfrey fired in six goals Tuesday to help Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake beat Saratoga Springs, 1

Jordyn Godfrey fired in six goals Tuesday to help Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake beat Saratoga Springs, 14-9, in a Suburban Council girls’ lacrosse game.

Nicole Beardsley added three goals, and Amy LeBel had two more for the Spartans, 2-0 overall.

Briana Sirianni had five goals for the Blue Streaks.

Kelly Wall finished with seven goals as Shenendehowa topped Niskayuna, 14-4, in another Suburban girls’ game.

Kristen Connors added three goals and an assist for Shenendehowa. Anna Picardi’s three goals led the Silver Warriors.

Cara Quimby (five goals), Morgan Hardt (four goals) and Ali Cardinal (three goals) did the bulk of the scoring as Guilderland downed Columbia, 15-8.

Shannon Ryan scored three goals, and both Gabriella Childrose and Helena Masiello added two more for Columbia.

Boys’ lacrosse

ARCIERO leads streaks

Saratoga built a four-goal halftime lead and held off Burnt Hills, 8-7, in a Suburban boys’ game.

Noah Arciero had four goals for the Blue Streaks, who held a 7-3 lead at halftime. Tom Kenneally led the Spartans with three goals.

Stephen Rehfuss struck for five goals, and Matthew Woods had a four-point game, leading Shaker past rival Colonie, 11-4.

Jacob Smith had five goals and three assists, and Cody Dyer also had a five-goal game, as Guilderland topped Columbia, 15-8.

Andrew Bohl had three goals for Columbia.

Queensbury scored nine goals in the second half to break away from a 1-1 tie and beat Schenectady, 10-3, in a non-league game.

Mike Carpenter had three goals for the Spartans. Nakia Boozer’s goal and assist was best for the Patriots.

John Fredette scored off a Nick Gosstola pass with 18 seconds to play, giving Bethlehem a 6-5 non-league win over LaSalle. Brad Bettinger led the Eagles with three goals.

Thomas Nealon had seven goals as Troy topped Maple Hill, 11-7. Kolby Randall and Austin Seymour teamed for seven goals for the Wildcats.

Alec Barna homered, and Ian Beauregard singled in the winning run in the seventh inning as Waterford-Halfmoon outscored Hadley-Luzerne, 18-17, Monday.
