Grants associate joins Theological Center’s staff

ALBANY -- The Capital Region Theological Center (CRTC) has announced that Cheryl Lasher has joined the staff, filling the position of grants associate. In this capacity she will have responsibility to raise funds and develop business relationships for CTRC. As a not-for-profit organization, CRTC provides education and resource services to both clergy and non-clergy in congregations throughout upstate New York and western New England.

Prior to joining CRTC, Lasher's professional background included nine years as a business development specialist with two consulting firms in the Capital District. She is a former small business owner and an alumna of the University at Albany Graduate School of Business. Lasher also serves on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity Capital District, as a volunteer for the American Heart Association, and as a certified lay speaker in the Community United Methodist Church, Slingerlands.

Tully Rinckey firm promotes Cortelyou

ALBANY -- The law firm of Tully Rinckey PLLC has promoted Graig D. Cortelyou to chief of operations. The promotion follows Tully Rinckey's recent expansion into the Syracuse and Buffalo markets. As chief of operations, Cortelyou directs marketing, business development, strategic planning, and corporate communication efforts firmwide. He oversees a variety of initiatives, including public relations, client relations, recruiting, and information technology.

Prior to his promotion, Cortelyou served as the firm's chief marketing officer. He joined the firm in 2007. With the help of the marketing initiatives he has developed and implemented, Tully Rinckey has more than tripled its number of employees to nearly 100 and its revenues have increased by 475 percent.

Cortelyou received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Oswego. He is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators, Legal Marketing Association, American Association of Inside Sales Professionals, and the Public Relations Society of America.
