Asa Goldstock made 17 saves as the Niskayuna girls’ lacrosse team beat Saratoga Springs, 9-5, in a Suburban Council game Tuesday after trailing, 5-4, at the half.

Anna Piccardi had three goals and three assists for the Silver Warriors. Both Catherine Sexton and Bri Sacks had two goals.

Saratoga Springs (1-3 Suburban Council, 1-3 overall) was led by Molly Kern with three goals.

Defending Section II Class A champ and state semifinalist Shaker (3-0) got five goals and three assists from Madeline Devine, and Julia Maloney made 10 saves to hand Shenendehowa its first loss, 17-8.

The Blue Bison also got four goals and two assists from Sarah Cheney, while Julia Lennon added three goals and an assist.

The Lady Plainsmen (3-1) got four goals and an assist from Kristen Connors, while Kelly Wall had two goals and three assists.

Gabbi Childrose scored four goals for Columbia (1-1) in a 13-6 win over Averill Park (1-2). The Blue Devils also got three goals from Sarah Jaromin. Morgan Lion­arions tallied three goals for Averill Park.

Bethlehem’s Sydney Shaw and Abbey Seymour both scored four goals in an 18-5 win over Colonie, Shaw adding an assist. Both Peri Lindh and Kaylee Rickert had two goals and an assist.

The Garnet Raiders got two goals from Katie Higgins.

In a non-league game, Olivia Gundrum made 16 saves to help Emma Willard to a 7-6 win over Schuylerville. Katie Smith scored three goals for 1-0 Emma Willard, while both Francesca Gundrum and Meghan O’Hara scored twice.

Heather Marko had two goals for Schuylerville, and Mckayla Will­iams made eight saves.

Blue Bison rally

Shaker outscored Saratoga Springs, 7-3, in the second half to score a 10-8 Suburban Council win.

Nick Dodd had four goals for the Blue Bison (3-0, 4-0), and Jake Quay had two goals and an assist.

The Blue Streaks got four goals from Noah Arciero and 12 saves from Austin Deggher.

Defending Section II Class A champ and state semifinalist

Niskayuna moved to 2-0 with three goals apiece from Mike D’Amario and Aidan O’Brien in a 17-4 win over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.

Anthony Massaroni, John Prendergast and Ryan Lawson each scored twice, with Lawson adding an assist.

The Spartans (0-3) got a goal and an assist from Austin Clark.

Bethlehem’s Don Comber made 10 saves in an 8-7 win over Col­onie, and both Nick Gosstola and Joe Verstandig scored three goals. Gosstola added two assists and Verstandig had one.

Colonie got three goals from Alex Linder and 10 saves from Brendon Deedy.

In the Big 10, LaSalle’s Alex Fron scored five times in a 15-3 win over Schenectady, and Zac Wojtuski made nine saves.

James Schnepf made 21 saves for the Patriots while splitting time with Nathan Ellers, who had one stop.

Queensbury improved to 4-0 with a 13-7 win over Glens Falls in the Foothills Council. The Spartans, Section II’s defending Class B champs, got six goals and an assist from Ben Willows to beat the defending Class C sectional champs. Ryan Conway added four goals and an assist, and Kade Kirby made 13 saves.

The Indians (0-2) got two goals and two assists from Connor McGuirk, and Nate Austin made 13 saves.

Christian Brothers Academy recorded the program’s first win over Guilderland since the 2006 Section II semifinals, 18-8, in a non-league game.

Isaac LaRue scored fivetimes and assisted on two goals for the Brothers, who outscored the Dutchmen, 9-2, in the third quarter. Andy Curro, John Bassett and Sean Behrman each had three goals, with Curry handing out five helpers and Bassett one. Conor Wacksman made 14 saves.

Guilderland got three goals and two assists from Steve Polsinelli.

Smith throws no-hitter

Becca Smith threw a no-hitter and struck out 15, getting Albany Academy past Cobleskill-Richmondville, 12-0, in a Colonial Council game.

Smith issued one walk, and was 3-for-5 at the plate. Carylann Geddes helped out by hitting a home run.

Angela Yodis drove in three runs to back Lauren Mahar’s four-hitter as 2-0 Schalmont beat Fonda-Fultonville, 13-2.

Rachel Peek drove in two other runs for the Lady Sabres, and eighth-grader Taylor Dillenbeck hit an RBI double.

Mechanicville followed a 10-3 Monday win at Ichabod Crane with a 4-0 victory over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk as Alison Ford struck out 11 in a three-hitter. Brittany Ubrich, Erin Maloney and Kali DeMarco all drove in a run.

Sophie Billie threw a four-hitter and drove in three runs as Holy Names topped Lansingburgh, 11-3.

Kerry Losert chipped in with three hits and two RBI for the winners. Lauren Nash tripled and drove in two runs for the Lady Knights.

Amanda Gatt carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning as Voorheesville beat Watervliet, 3-2.

Gatt finished with a one-hitter, and stranded Watervliet runners at the corners in the seventh after the Lady Cannoneers scored a run in a Taylor Daniels single and three Voorheesville errors.

Brianne Borter singled in a run in the sixth to put Voorheesville up, 3-0.

Courtney Towne drove in three runs, and both Alexis Case and Carolin Strasswimmer had two RBI as Greenwich topped Schuylerville, 6-1, in the Wasaren League.

Ashley Lefebvre had a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts, hit a grand slam and finished with six RBI as Waterford-Halfmoon beat Germantown, 16-1, in the Central Hudson Valley League.
