Guilderland pulls out softball win with three runs in 10th, 7-6

Guilderland pushed across three runs in the last of the 10th inning to beat Averill Park, 7-6, Friday, in a Suburban Council softball game.

Tori Greco, Jenna Cubello and Mallory Harrigan all had two hits for the 5-3 Lady Dutch, who went 3-0 this week in league play and have won four straight league games.

Kaileigh Serafini went 4-for-4 with a home run and four runs batted in, leading Schenectady past Bishop Maginn, 16-1, in the Big 10.

Aleda Kirstein threw a two-hitter to get the win, striking out six.

Shayla Lyons and Mackenzie Halloran both had a single for Bishop Maginn.

Hunter Levesque took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, and had a pair of hits and two RBI at the plate, as Troy beat Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons, 6-1 to remain unbeaten in the Big 10.

Jess Marsh, Victoria Hallett and Alina Germinario all hit doubles for the 7-0, 9-1 winners.

Isabelle DeChairo hit the first pitch in the home first for a triple, and scored on a single by Brianna Bowen, as Cohoes edged Schalmont, 1-0, in a Colonial Council game.

DeChairo threw a five-hitter with five strikeouts. Lauren Mahar threw a four-hitter, and Emily McLaughlin had two hits for the Lady Sabres. Both teams are now 5-2 in the league.

Bryn Davies’ two-run double in the top of the sixth inning put Voorheesville ahead for good in a 4-3 win at Holy Names. Winning pitcher Amanda Gatt gave up three hits, struck out 16 and walked two.

Sophie Billie belted a two-run homer for Holy Names.

Taylor Daniels knocked in five runs with a home run, double and sacrifice fly as Watervliet beat Lansingburgh, 13-7.

Lauren Nash had a triple and drove in a run, and Kylie Horton doubled and knocked in a run for the Lady Knights.

Bailey Kross homered and knocked in five runs to lead Ravena-Voeymans-Selkirk past Fonda-Fultonville, 10-2.

Dayanna Stevens added two RBI for the 3-4 Lady Indians. Sam Hart had an RBI triple for Fonda.

Rachel Gamache went 2-for-4 with a home run, and Erika Kenny had three hits and scored three runs as Duanesburg downed Saratoga Central Catholic, 15-3, to stay perfect in the Western Athletic Conference.

Myah Ondreyko homered for the Lady Saints.

Kaitlyn Kendle went 3-for-3 as Schoharie topped St. Johnsville, 8-1, to move to 4-2 in WAC play.

Sarah Green had two hits and drove in a pair of runs as Sharon Springs beat Berne-Knox-Westerlo, 7-2, for its first WAC win of the season.

South Glens Falls scored eight runs in the first inning, and went on to beat Broadalbin-Perth, 17-0, in the Foothills Council. Sam Hubinsky finished with a two-hitter for the unbeaten winners. Caitlin Rasefske and Nicole Traver had the hits for the Lady Patriots.

Ashley Lefebvre and Dana Julian teamed on a one-hitter as Waterford-Halfmoon stopped Heatly, 17-0, to get to 7-0 in the Central Hudson Valley League.

Emily Schumaker had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in three runs for the Lady Fordians.

Maki Akots had three hits to lead 7-1 Emma Willard past Germantown, 11-8, in the CHVL.

Eternity Coons drove in six runs as Rensselaer topped Doane Stuart, 27-4.
