Police are investigating a motorcycle accident on Route 29 that killed a Corinth man Sunday.
The accident happened around 3:15 p.m. in the vicinity of Fishhouse Road. The driver of the car, 47-year-old Clyde Jones III of Gloversville, crossed the center line for unknown reasons and struck the motorcycle head-on, but the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, according to state police.
The motorcyclist, 62-year-old John J. Mackin, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 9-year-old boy who was a passenger on the motorcycle was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with multiple broken bones, according to police.
Jones was treated at the scene and released. His vehicle included two passengers, a 19-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy, who were both transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
