Junior pitcher John Pascarella needed only 74 pitches to complete a one-hit shutout — one of three one-hitters thrown in the area Monday — as Schalmont blanked Cobleskill-Richmondville, 7-0, in a Colonial Council baseball game.

Nick Bird led off the seventh inning with a single for the 0-8, 1-9 Bulldogs.

Joe Wignot (two singles, RBI), Tyler Smith (double, single, RBI) and Dom Toma (two singles, RBI) contributed to Schalmont’s 10-hit attack. The Sabres improved to 6-3 in the Colonial Council and 9-3 overall.

Sean Connors drove in four runs with a pair of singles to lift Cohoes over Mechanicville, 7-4, in another Colonial Council test.

Tyler Becker added two hits for the 5-8 Tigers. Nick Dumas ripped a double and a single, and Alex Hall-St. Gelais belted a homer for the 6-7 Red Raiders.

Kristian Singh’s three-run homer in the sixth inning carried Voorheesville (4-3, 7-4) over Albany Academy (5-4, 6-5), 8-5, in another Colonial Council game.

Nico Church added a solo shot for the Blackbirds. Sean Dempsey and Jake Mayette each doubled for the Cadets.

Noah Cipperly (three singles, two RBI) and Tyler McDonough (double, single) led a 10-hit attack as Lansingburgh beat Ichabod Crane, 7-2.

Brandon Begin struck out 12 and fired a two-hitter for the 7-1, 7-6 Knights.

Brandon Baker stole home to cap a three-run seventh inning as Fonda-Fultonville slipped past Watervliet, 9-7.

Paul Hart ripped a two-run homer, while Baker, Baylee Hall and Lucas Calkins contributed two hits apiece for the 5-2, 6-3 Braves.

Chris Miller’s bases-loaded triple keyed a six-run fourth inning to help Shenendehowa crush Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 12-0, in a Suburban Council game.

Justin Yurchak contributed four RBI on three hits for the Plainsmen. Matt Buckley added three RBI on three hits. Josh Quesada and Cody Mooney each doubled for the Spartans.

A.J. Maney had three hits, Kevin Smith added a double and a single and Cody Piel struck out nine in a complete-game victory as Columbia downed Bethlehem, 7-1.

The Blue Devils improved to 8-1 in the SC and 10-2 overall. Beth­lehem fell to 6-3 and 9-3.

Tyler Beck, Sam Flood and Jeff Wicks, the first three batters in the Mohonasen batting order, combined for eight hits and four RBI as the Mighty Warriors edged Averill Park, 6-5, in 10 innings.

Beck and Flood had three hits apiece, while Wicks, Gage Marzloff, Kody Skeals and Dmitri Aldershoff contributed two hits apiece for Mohonasen.

Ben Cassillo’s bases-loaded triple in the first inning powered Shaker over Niskayuna, 6-2.

Sean Egan contributed two hits for the 7-2, 8-2 Blue Bison, who also got five scoreless innings from starter Tyler Hoffman. Mike Landry’s two singles topped the 3-6, 4-6 Silver Warriors.

Guilderland struck for six runs on five hits in the second inning and then held off Colonie, 9-8.

Zach Formica (double, single), Pat Nerrelli (two singles, two RBI) and Brandon Rathwell (two singles) led the 3-5, 4-8 Dutchmen. Eric Downey drove in four runs with two doubles and two singles for the 4-5 Garnet Raiders.

Eddie Canty went 2-for-4 and scored two runs in Ballston Spa’s 7-5 win over Saraoga Springs.

Ben Place drove in two runs with a double for the Blue Streaks (3-6, 6-7). The Scotties improved to 4-5 and 5-5.

Chris Carmel not only tossed a three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts, but he also doubled and singled to help LaSalle zip Catholic Central, 7-0, in the Big 10.

Tyler Gagnon (double, single), Ben Beaury (three singles) and Justin Sportman (two singles) also were part of a 13-hit attack for the 9-1, 10-4 Cadets. Liam Kelly’s double and single paced 4-6, 7-6 Catholic Central.

Mitch Forshey pushed his personal record to 3-1 with a one-hit, 14-strikeout performance during Scotia-Glenville’s 19-0 Foothills Council victory over South Glens Falls.

Forshey backed up his own pitching effort by going 4-for-5 with a triple. Anthony Musto was 4-for-4 with a triple and Marty McCollum chipped in with four hits, three runs and two RBI for the 5-2, 6-4 Tartans.

Eric Daley’s two hits and two RBI sparked Queensbury over Johnstown, 4-1, in another Foothills Council matchup.

The Spartans, who scored three runs in the seventh inning, also got a double and a single from Joe Marasco. John Harris doubled and scored on a single by Rich Lee for the 4-3, 5-4 Sir Bills.

Tim Gordon plated two runs with a pair of hits as Broadalbin-Perth edged Glens Falls, 5-2.

Anthony Payne backed up Gordon with two hits for the 4-3, 7-4 Patriots. Dylan O’Sick ripped two doubles for the 2-5, 4-5 Indians.

John Rooney struck out 13, and JT Sawyer belted a solo homer in Hoosic Valley’s 4-2 Wasaren League win over Hoosick Falls.

Canajoharie erupted for 10 runs in the third inning and cruised past Berne-Knox-Westerlo, 29-14, in a Western Athletic Conference game.

Zach Ruzkowski led the 20-hit attack with three hits, three RBI and four runs for the 7-2 Cougars. Karl Gustafson added three hits and four runs for Canajoharie. Maclin Morray went 3-for-5 with a double and two triples for the 3-6, 3-8 Bulldogs.

Bobby Gates went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI to lead Mayfield over host Schoharie, 10-9.

Riley Yager and Colden Glover added two hits apiece and combined for three RBI for the Panthers. Evan Ottman drove in three runs with two singles, and Devan Brooks added two singles and two RBI for 4-3, 4-4 Schoharie.

John Viccarielli fired a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts, and St. Johnsville scored seven runs in the sixth inning en route to a 9-0 shutout of Middleburgh.

Ben Grant drove in two runs, Dylan Klock ripped a triple and a single and Kyle Smith doubled for the 3-6, 4-6 Saints. Asa Snyder had the lone hit for 1-9 Middleburgh.

Cody Largeteau homered and drove in three runs, and Shane Barberis plated two runs with three singles to lead Duanesburg over Sharon Springs, 13-2.

The 7-3, 7-6 Eagles banged out 10 hits. Tyler Bianchine’s double and single led the Spartans.

Cassidy White went 3-for-6 with two RBI, and both Alex Jenkins and Andrew Jenkins recorded a pair of hits to lead Corinth over Hartford, 11-3, in the Adirondack League.

Alex Jenkins had two RBI for the 7-3, 8-4 Tomahawks, who turned four double plays in the a game.
