Hospitals’ neurosurgery teams join forces

ALBANY — Albany Medical Center has announced that the medical staff of Glens Falls Hospital Neurosurgery and Spine have joined Albany Med’s neurosurgical team.

Fred Scialabba, M.D., and James Greenspan, M.D., along with Krista Malinoski, PA-C, will continue to see patients at their current offices in Glens Falls, Greenwich, Wilton and Ticonderoga. They specialize in the treatment of acquired-normal pressure hydrocephalus, brain tumors, cervical and lumbar pain, peripheral nerves and the spine.

Glens Falls Neurosurgery and Spine is the only neurosurgery practice between Albany and the Canadian border.

Saratoga Hospital promotes Landry

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga Hospital has promoted Clay Landry to director of Central Sterile Supply, responsible for overseeing the cleaning, disinfecting and sterilization of all hospital instruments, equipment and other sterile items used in patient care.

Landry is one of only nine professionals in New York state to have earned certification from the national Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution as a sterile processing and distribution manager. He joined Saratoga Hospital in 1994 and served most recently as manager of Central Sterile Supply. In that role, Landry led a successful effort to have all eligible staff earn CBSPD certification.

Degenhart tapped for advisory board

CLIFTON PARK — Subsidium Technologies Inc. chief operating officer and co-founder Ed Degenhart has been named board member to Level 3 Communications Inc.’s Partner Advisory Board. Subsidium Technologies provides communication network solutions for businesses across a variety of sectors. Level 3 Communications — the world’s largest Internet service provider — equips enterprise, government and carrier customers with local, national and global communications services.

Degenhart also actively contributes to CenturyLink’s national advisory council. The council is composed of partners from around the country.

CenturyLink is a national provider of Internet, TV and voice services for residential and business markets.

Prior to founding Subsidium Technologies with CEO John Bova, Degenhart served as an account executive with technology and telecommunications firm Qwest/CenturyLink.

Previously, he was an account executive with IKON Technologies Services.

Degenhart graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a B.S. in accounting and lives in Malta with his wife and their two children.
