Binghamton defeated the University at Albany baseball team, 10-3, Saturday in the regular-season finale to wrap up the second seed for the America East Conference baseball tournament that starts Wednesday at UMass-Lowell’s LeLacheur Park.
The Great Danes will be seeded third.
Jake Thomas belted a pair of home runs among his three hits and drove in four runs to spoil UAlbany’s senior day celebration. The Bearcats are 16-13 and 27-22.
UAlbany (16-14, 23-23) was led by Fonda-Fultonville grad Josh Nethaway with two hits and two RBI.

SCHENECTADY — Tyler Mochrie, a freshman bowler from Colonie High School, and Tierney McGlynn, a sophomore guard from Watervliet, were named the Schenectady County Community College male and female athletes of the year.
Mochrie led the Royals to their first-ever national championship in any sport when SCCC upset two-time defending national champion Vincennes of Indiana in the NJCAA Bowling Championships. He was named a first-team NJCAA All-American.
McGlynn led the Royals to a Region III playoff berth in basketball and topped the team in every statistical category.
