Someone broke into the Regional Animal Shelter in Gloversville overnight, and police are looking for any information the public may have that would help solve the burglary.
Gloversville police said shelter staff arrived early this morning to find the door broken and Delila, a pit bull, missing. Delila was available to be adopted before the burglary, according to a news release.
The shelter said this afternoon the dog had been returned by police.
A Gloversville police spokesman could not be reached this afternoon for comment.
