Wallace named Subsidium’s sales director

CLIFTON PARK — Allison Wallace has joined Subsidium Technologies Inc., a provider of communication networks for businesses, as director of sales operations. Wallace has more than a decade of industry experience.

In her role as director of sales operations, Wallace is responsible for data gathering, preparation of proposals and providing support for both the chief operating officer and the chief executive officer.

Prior to joining Subsidium, Wallace was fraud analyst for Worldcom Wireless. She was then national dispatch manager for APS Security before spending seven years as account executive for MAC Source Communications, specializing in the government market.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Alfred University College of Business and resides in Kinderhook.

Real estate agent expanding role

COLONIE — Licensed real estate agent Jennifer Bettini-Bergeron has added recruiting duties to her sales role at Albany Realty Group. In addition to listing and selling residential real estate properties, Bettini-Bergeron is responsible for increasing the number of licensed real estate professionals on the growing sales team.

Bettini-Bergeron joined Albany Realty Group in 2006.

She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Marymount Manhattan College.

Albany Realty Group LLC is a real estate firm serving Albany, Saratoga, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene and Schoharie counties.

Cardiac surgeon joins St. Peter’s

ALBANY — St. Peter’s Health Partners has added Alexandros N. Karavas, M.D., a cardiothoracic surgeon, to its cardiac and vascular surgery team.

Karavas comes to St. Peter’s from Cardiothoracic Surgical Associates, PA, at New England Heart Institute of Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, N.H.

Educated at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin in Germany, Karavas completed an internship in cardiac surgery and residency in cardiology at Albertinen Krakenhaus in Hamburg, Germany. He completed a clinical research fellowship in cardiac surgery, a clinical fellowship in cardiac surgery and an internship in general surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He also completed a residency in general surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville and a fellowship in aortic diseases at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Karavas lives in Bethlehem with his wife, Dr. Michelle Yoon, an otolaryngologist, and their son.

St. Peter’s adds medical oncologist

ALBANY — St. Peter’s Health Partners has appointed Ami Negandhi, M.D., as a medical oncologist at St. Peter’s Cancer Care Center.

Board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Negandhi completed her medical degree at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, N.J.

She conducted a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a residency in internal medicine at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J. She has recently been in a private hematology/oncology practice in White Plains.
