Disney Channel personality Zendaya will headline a free concert during the 33rd annual Open House at the Saratoga Race Course on Sunday, July 14.
This is the first concert in recent years at the track, which is celebrating its 150th birthday this year. The concert is part of the opening ceremonies for the birthday celebration.
The open house will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the concert starting at 3 p.m.
“Hosting a free concert with Zendaya allows us to kick off the season in a grandiose way while staying true to our tradition of affordable family fun during this annual pre-season celebration,” said New York Racing Association Vice President and Chief Marking Officer Rodnell Workman in a news release. “We look forward to once again welcoming families through the gates as we launch a memorable anniversary season at Saratoga.”
Admission to the open house and concert is free, with tickets in the grandstand and clubhouse available through Ticketmaster starting Sunday at noon. There is a $1.50 handling fee per ticket and a limit of four tickets available per transaction. Tickets will be available by mail and in person starting July 11 until the day of the event, when tickets will be available at the Reserved Seats Box Office on Union Avenue at Saratoga Race Course.
Additionally, the course will offer first-come seating at the track apron.
The open house will also include several exhibition races on the main track and the backyard will feature games and different activities for children. There will be free backstretch tours every half hour starting at the Clubhouse entrance.
