New York State Police arrested an Albany man Tuesday morning for allegedly molesting a boy at the New York State Museum.
Edward Tubbs Jr., 22 was accused of sexual contact with the 6-year-old boy in a bathroom stall of the museum. The Cambridge Elementary School student was attending the museum on a school field trip, and his mother was directly outside in the hallway as he used the bathroom. He was not physically harmed during the incident.
Tubbs was arrested moments later by state troopers on the Empire State Plaza.
The Albany man was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
