Anyone interested in working at the Saratoga Race Course this summer can attend job fairs scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Opportunities are available for security officers, white caps (ushers), parking attendants, cleaners, utility workers, turf workers and general laborers, retail clerks, wait staff, cooks, prep cooks, food service helpers, cashiers, porters and barbacks, food service supervisors and counter workers, part-time giveaway helpers and pari-mutuel betting clerks.
Several employers will be hiring: the New York Racing Association, Centerplate, Union Square Events, Forum Staffing Services and Pritchard Sports and Entertainment.
Interviews will be held at the Carousel near the East Avenue gate from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Union Square Events will interview for positions at Shake Shack on Friday and Saturday only.
Applicants must be at least 16 with working papers; pari-mutuel clerks must be at least 18 and have cash-handling experience. All applicants are asked to bring photo identification and a Social Security card.
The racing meet runs for 40 days from July 19 through Labor Day, Sept. 2. There is no racing on Tuesdays.
