A Watervliet man accused of stabbing his roommate to death in April pleaded not guilty during his ar

A Watervliet man accused of stabbing his roommate to death in April pleaded not guilty during his arraignment in an Albany County courtroom on Monday.

Brandon Burritt, 30, pleaded not guilty to a count of second-degree murder in Albany County Supreme Court. Police believe Burritt killed 51-year-old David Hochsprung after repeatedly stabbing him with a knife in their residence on Fifth Avenue on April 21.

Burritt was remanded to the Albany County Jail. Special Victims Unit Bureau Chief Shannon Sarfoh and Assistant District Attorney Shannon Corbitt are handling the prosecution of this case.
