Motorists who travel the stretch of Glenridge Road between Bruce Drive and Maple Avenue will have to take a new route starting tonight.
The closure, located near the Glenville-Clifton Park border, is expected to last for approximately two months while crews work on an ongoing reconstruction project.
During that time, traffic will be detoured onto Balltown Road, Riverview Road, Alplaus Avenue and Maple Avenue, but all properties in the area will remain accessible to residents and emergency responders.
The work being completed this summer will include replacing the bridge carrying Glenridge Road over the Alplaus Kill, realigning and reconstructing Glenridge Road between Bruce Drive and Maple Avenue, and constructing part of the roundabout at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Glenridge Road.
Commuters are encouraged to plan ahead and choose alternate routes to avoid delays.
