SARATOGA SPRINGS — Maryanne Davis, pharmacy director for Saratoga Hospital, was recently presented with an award for her selection as “mentor of the year” by the students in the New Visions Health Career Exploration program. Davis has served as a mentor for the New Visions program for 15 years.

New Visions is an academically rigorous one-year program for college-bound high school seniors who plan to major in pre-med, chemistry, biology, or other allied health fields.

Students learn and observe in a hospital setting from physicians and physician assistants, physical and occupational therapists, registered nurses, and other health care professionals. It is coordinated by Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton Essex BOCES.

New Visions has been working with Saratoga Hospital since 1998.
