Local elected officials and business leaders helped break ground Wednesday on a two-story dental practice that is expected to create 30 new jobs over the next three years.
The building is the first of four proposed structures slated for a medical park at 713 Pierce Road.
The new Smile Lodge Pediatric Dentistry is expected to be completed by December and include 16,000 square feet. The practice will move from its current location at 532 Moe Road.
Other medical practices will be able to build their own structures to meet their needs in the 45,000-square-foot medical park.
Local notables who broke ground Wednesday include state Sen. Hugh Farley, Assemblyman Jim Tedisco, Clifton Park Supervisor Phil Barrett, Dr. James McDonnell, owner of The Smile Lodge Pediatric Dentistry, and Paul Milton, chairman of the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County.
