Mitchell’s first home run of the season highlighted the four-run fifth, which also included an RBI double by Gulbransen.
The Tigers (2-6) made the score respectable after Kasey Coffman belted a two-run homer in the sixth and Javier Azcona added a three-run shot in the seventh.
