Theft and forgery result in prison for Clifton Park man

A Clifton Park man will serve two to four years in prison on theft and forgery charges.

A Clifton Park man will serve two to four years in prison on theft and forgery charges.

Kevin J. Sweeney Jr., 28, of 1014 Foxwood Drive, also was ordered Wednesday to pay $8,300 in restitution. He pleaded guilty in May to third-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, crimes police said he committed Dec. 16 in Clifton Park.

Also this week in Saratoga County Court:

• Robert C. Jeffers, 27, of 248 S. Broadway, Apt. 102, Saratoga Springs, was sentenced Wednesday to six months in the Saratoga County jail and five years’ probation for first-degree criminal contempt.

&bull Richard E. Brown Jr., 66, of 3146 River Road, Mechanicville, pleaded guilty Tuesday to driving drunk in Mechanicville in April. He is scheduled for sentencing in August.

&bull Godfrey Waldron, 33, of New York City, pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of third-degree criminal sale, two counts of third-degree criminal possession and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was indicted on those charges in December for crimes police said he committed in Saratoga Springs in September and November.

&bull Franklin Seaton, 51, of Hadley, was sentenced Monday to one to three years in prison for driving drunk in December in Wilton.

&bull David Trell “Dog” Henderson, 36, of 174 Maple Ave., Apt. A, Ballston Spa, pleaded guilty Monday to third-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, a crime police said he committed in February in Ballston Spa.

&bull Lisa A. Harrington, 46, of 73 Pyramid Pines Estates, Wilton, pleaded guilty Monday to driving while intoxicated May 17 in Saratoga Springs. She is slated for sentencing in August.

&bull Carlos Holmes, 32, of Route 146, Clifton Park, was sentenced Monday to 31⁄2 years in prison and three years of post-release supervision for third-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, a crime police said he committed in December in Clifton Park.
