The restaurant and entertainment venue is big on its “eat, drink, play” appeal, with a menu full of nachos, pretzel dogs, barbecue chicken, burgers, bacon-wrapped beef, snow cones, mojitos, margaritas and an entertainment complex complete with arcade games and big-screen, high-definition TVs.

It will occupy more than 30,000 square feet of Crossgates Mall and is scheduled to open Aug. 24. A hiring process has already begun to fill 200 positions including bartenders, servers, cooks and host staff. To apply, visit

It will be the 64th store for Dave & Buster’s, which is expanding by four to six locations each year.

“We are excited to bring Dave & Buster’s to Albany because we know the Capital Region knows how to play,” said Dan Johnson, general manager for the Crossgates Mall location. “An important part of bringing that play factor to this location is ensuring we hire a team that embodies the Dave & Buster’s mentality, so that all guests in the Albany area can experience the fun, enjoyable atmosphere that is distinctly Dave & Buster’s.”

Beginning Aug. 24, the restaurant, game and special event areas will be open seven days a week, Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Guests can play the most popular new games including Temple Run, Cut The Rope, Dark Escape and Dizzy Chicken, and take their tickets to the Winner’s Circle where they can shop for a variety of prizes including Apple products, Xbox games, sports memorabilia, T-shirts, stuffed animals and electric guitars.
