The region continues to roast, with temperatures forecast to climb to the low to mid-90s today.
With the humidity factored in, it should feel like 99 degrees, according to Luigi Meccariello, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
A heat advisory is in effect for the entire region from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.
A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast this evening for the Capital Region and points north and west, which could bring some relief from the heat.
Any respite will be short-lived, however, as tomorrow is forecast to be the hottest day of the week, Meccariello said.
A high of 96 is forecast for Albany, but with the humidly, it will feel like 100-plus degrees.
