Threat of rain moves outdoor concert to Corning Preserve Boat Launch

Because of the threat of rain and thunderstorms, tonight’s Alive at Five concert will be moved to the Corning Preserve boat launch, under the 787 overpass at Colonie and Water streets.

The free concert, from 5 to 8 p.m., will feature country bands Skeeter Creek and Whiskey City.

Skeeter Creek, which formed in 2002 as a bluegrass band, has morphed into one of the Capital Region’s top modern country party band. Whiskey City is a high-energy, six-piece country rock band.

Food and beverages will be available for sale. For more information call 434-2032 or visit
