The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department made five driving-while-intoxicated arrests within a matter

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department made five driving-while-intoxicated arrests within a matter of hours last weekend, one of them a felony arrest under Leandra’s Law.

Shylo A. Croft, 27, of Lewis Road, Milton, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, which increases the penalty when a child under the age of 15 is a passenger in the vehicle. Croft was arrested after an accident, deputies said.

In other arrests over a 16-hour span starting Saturday afternoon:

* Kevin R. Barnes, 20, of Schuyler Heights Drive, Schuylerville, was arrested on charges of DWI, moving from a lane unsafely, and aggravated unlicensed operation.

* Daniel T. Ryan Jr., 25, of Carriage Way, Ballston Spa, was arrested on a charge of aggravated DWI, because deputies said his blood-alcohol count exceeded 0.18 percent.

* Tyrell L. Edge, 33, of Sixth Street, Troy, was charged with aggravated DWI for allegedly having a blood-alcohol count above 0.18 percent.

* Kevin R, Kelly, 22, of Oxford Drive, Wilton, was charged after a personal-injury accident. He was arrested on charges of DWI, speed not reasonable, improper lane change and aggravated unlicensed operation.

Deputies in a news release did not say where the arrests occurred.
